Christine Cameron Chief Executive Officer / Responsible Individual Christine joined Aspirations in September 2011. She has over 20 years' experience working with people, starting her career as a nursery nurse working with children with disabilities, then training to be a nurse for adults with learning disabilities. Throughout her career, which has seen her work within mental health, learning disability and autism services, she has been an advocate for the rights of each and every individual to have choice and control over their lives and be an equal citizen no matter what their ability or challenges they may face. Steve McMullan Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Steve joined Aspirations at the start of 2018. A Fellow Chartered Accountant, he has more than 20 years’ experience working in finance and mergers & acquisitions roles in the corporate, PLC and professional practice arenas. Prior to joining Aspirations Steve worked for one of the largest UK specialist providers of learning disability supported living, complex residential and mental health services to adults, where he led a transformational buy and build programme, and more recently established and implemented a comprehensive operational and financial performance reporting and governance system. Anna Mimms Managing Director Adults Services Anna joined Aspirations as an Interim Operations Director in 2017. She was promoted to Managing Director for Adult Services in 2018. Anna has over 12 years’ experience in Chief Executive and Senior management roles including a developing international reputation in the field of Social Return on Investment which was cited on her appointment to MBE in 2013. Anna is a respected public speaker; Expert in change and transition she cuts through the 'noise' and delivers organisational change with both empathy and pragmatism. Dan Coleman Head of Quality Dan joined the Quality team in January 2012. He completed his 4 year degree at Reading University in 1994, this included first year ‘Joint Study Exams’ in Sociology and Philosophy. Since then he has undertaken various roles within the care sector over the past 24 years, working from support worker through to senior manager. These include supporting people with mental health diagnosis in recovery programmes, as well as adults with learning disabilities and autism. He has worked for public, private and voluntary sector organisations within a wide range of traditional and non-traditional services. Dan has an Institute of Leadership and Management Diploma in Quality Management. He is in the process of beginning his Level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Strategic Management. Kiks Sheppard Business Development Director (Interim) Kiks joined Aspirations in June 2011 having previously worked in some the country’s most deprived areas; she has progressed through the organisation to roles with increasing responsibility from Head Teacher, to joining the Senior Management Team as Head of Education and Quality for Children’s Services in 2014. Her experience was instrumental in improving outcomes and profitability across education and children’s services and guiding her team through change. In April 2018 she accepted the role of Interim Business Development Director for Adult Services. As an energetic and ambitious individual, who puts people at the centre of practice, Kiks is passionate about improving outcomes for everyone we support; her 15 years of strategic planning experience and track record of improvement will benefit the organisation’s business development. Isobel Washington Head of HR Isobel is based in Staffordshire and shares her home with her beloved Springer Spaniel. She has been a qualified solicitor for 9 years specialising in employment law – currently non-practicing – as well as having 25 years’ experience in Human Resources. As a former trade union officer, Isobel comes to Aspirations with a wealth of experience from delivering advice line support and 4 years in the Care sector.
