It is essential that applicants wanting to work as part of The Leaving Care Team have:

  • At least 2 years direct experience with young people
  • Completed or on NVQ3
  • Minimum 5yrs no gaps reference check

All The Leaving Care Company’s staff who are supporting young people in the community, undertake a comprehensive induction programme with their first weeks of employment. Aspirations Children and Young People's dedicated training team will deliver the following mandatory training as part of all employees’ induction;

The Mandatory training provided includes:

  • First aid
  • Health and safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Moving and Handling back acre as above
  • Food safety and nutrition
  • Infection control
  • Safeguarding adults and children at risk
  • Medication training
  • Self-Harm/Ligature
  • PBM (positive behaviour management) training

Please note that all The Leaving Care Company’s workers will progress to a minimum of the QCF Level Three Diploma For Children and Young Peoples Workforce.
