Who We Support

Understanding individual needs and providing tailored support for people to thrive.

The people we support

The people we support may need support for various reasons:

  • Learning disabilities including:
    • those who may also have complex physical disabilities
    • profound and multiple learning disabilities
  • Mental health support
  • Complex behavioural support
  • Autism and other Neurodivergent conditions.

Learning disabilities support

Aspirations has extensive experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities.

We also help people who may have associated diagnoses alongside their primary Learning Disability.

Mental health support

At Aspirations we work to promote independence and purpose for the people we support who face various mental health related challenges. Aspirations has extensive understanding of the Mental Health Act and help the people we support to navigate this as it can be a daunting and complicated process. We also have access to diagnosis-specific specialist training.

Autism and neurodivergent support

Autism is a lifelong neurodivergent condition that affects each person differently. Aspirations is committed to understanding the individual and their Autism and then putting in place the right support to help that person thrive. Every person we support with an Autism diagnosis is helped to develop a unique ‘Autism Profile’. This profile drives their support plan, ensuring we maintain an Autism-focused approach, tailored to the specific needs of the individual.

We’re committed to:

Supporting people to lead active and positive lifestyles, successfully managing, and stabilising their mental health, behaviours, and associated support needs.

Promoting a positive approach to measured risk, to enable and empower individuals to become more independent and less reliant on professional support.

Identifying and minimising early warning signs, risks of relapse and potential subsequent re-admission to hospital.

Learning and Development

There are occasions when physical interventions are required to ensure everyone stays safe in a crisis. CPI’s suite of Learning and Development Programmes ensures the approaches we use reduce the risks to everyone. They focus on alternatives such as redirection and adopting the least restrictive intervention. We are BILD accredited members of the Restraint Reduction Network and our support team are aligned to the Oliver McGowan Training Programme.
